: hi all,
: i sold my 73 LDO maverick with all the options, about 5 years ago to pursue other projects.
: i missed my ol maverick every step of the way.
: since then, i have revived a 72 cougar from the dead (which incidentally is for sale) and bought a 61 ranchero that i mistakenly thought i could convert to a V8. (incidentally also for sale)
: but now i have my priorities straight. yesterday i purchased a maverick. it is all original, one owner, V8 with PS and AC, for only $1500. (i forgot to mention that it has a fresh engine and transmission too)
: bonus is it has never been wrecked either. another bonus is it does not have the gaudy chrome side moulding or vinyl roof that my 73 had.
: unfortunately it doesnt have the bucket seats or floor shift either.
: this car will ultimately be converted into a street rod. i am very proud of her, and cannot wait to get her tagged and start making improvements.
: one question for the gallery... "how many V8 mavericks did ford produce in 72?" i knew that the 72 comet had an available V8, but i thought ford didnt offer it until the 73 model year.
: i will be seeing yall around.
: a proud new, maverick enthusiast
