I have a challenge.....

I recently bought a '71 Maverick Grabber, and a friend of mine just bought a Porsche 944. My challenge here is to beat his Porsche in the 1/4 mile. My Maverick has the original 4.1 liter straight six, in very good condition, only 60k miles. So, I have to find a way to modify this vehicle to beat a stock Porsche. Over the summer I'll be adding a Mustang 5.0 engine, but until then, what could I do to get my Maverick to beat my friends car?
