: I put buckets in my 77. I had a set of 72 Maverick bucket rails but this will work for what ever your using. Both the drivers side rails went on with no problems. The passenger side, outside rail is also no problem, going in the stock location. To mount the rail over the catalitic hump, I used the following method. I bolted up the 3 rails (only the rails) in the stock location. make sure they are all in the same position (foward & back). Then I strung a line over the seat mounting holes in the top of the rails. You may have to shim them up till they clear the center hump. The floor has dimples where the holes normally go to locate the rail. Now you can measure from the line down to the floor minus the spacers & that will tell you how high the the inside rail needs to be. I ended up cutting a pie shaped wedge out of the center rise on my inside rail, then welded the piecesback together. Works great though.
i have to ask,why the seat holes?,theyre movable where the bracket bolt holes arent, why wouldnt you use those?.did you position the seat holes directly above the bracket holes? im not being critical im just trying to get this right.im probably just not gettin it.thanks mcmav
