The hoods on 1974-1975 Maverick Grabbers wer absolutely the same as any standard Maverick Hood. The striping on the hood might make one think they had a "bulge" built into them....but they did not.

: : I have found a 74 Grabber 302, 3 speed on the floor, not in real good shape.Insides are trashed, body is in good shape. I have 2 questions,
: : I have a 71 Grabber, but the hood on the 74 is different. Is it suppose to be different ??? Is $800. to much to pay for it ???
: : Thanks for your interest

: The "Grabber" hoods on '74-'77 Mavericks were different from the older "Grabber" hood as far as the scoops are concerned. I found a newer Grabber hood that was different from the stock Maverick hood. It had a slight hump in the front of the hood as opposed to just being flat. 302' with 3-speeds on the floor were extremely rare. $800 sounds like a good deal to me, but if you can get him down on the price because of the interior, I would certainly try it.
