... the shop will use walnut shells or plastic beads, instead of sand, to remove the paint/rust and it isn't as harmful to the surfaces as sandblasting can be. It doesn't 'pit'the pot metal and won't warp/stretch the sheet metal surfaces like sandblasting can (and usually does).
