Got sunburned,had fun,can`t wait `till next year...
: Thanks M.A.V. I enjoyed talking Mavericks with you. It was really a good event dispite all our Mavs being under construction so to speak. I enjoyed talking to "scrapper" (Jerry) and his wife also. Missed you guys Sunday! Earl, we'll be looking for you next year. I have some photos I'll send someone to post. Again, nice meeting you guys! Bill
Montgomery meet was outstanding in my humble opinion. Great meeting MAV and Bill. Wife enjoyed it too, she burned too MAV, lol. Raymond Roland and his Dad, Terry were there to race and represent the club. Raymond also is the IHRA record holder in his class, M/Stock I believe, someone correct me if wrong. But both are CLASS people and enjoyed bench racing with them. Only Maverick record holder at this time. Fast and it looks nice too. We took some pics too and hope to talk Charlie Ping into posting them on the club web page.
Y'all missed so good deals on parts from Bill at the swap meet. MAV can tell you, he didn't.
The track personell were very nice to us, we weren't sure if we could camp on the track grounds but they obliged us for a nominal fee, CHEAP.
We left early Sunday morning so can't say what happened then. We will be back again next year to meet other people and to see new friends made this year.
