: i have a 200 6cylinder 71 mav grabber...im having problems with her....i was driving and she started sputtering and trying to cut off...it has a small leak on the intake manifold...could this be my problem...it wont stay running and keeps sputtering like its being choked out...and the smell of gas is strong...i have a new fuel filter, fuel pump, and a clean carbbuator..ive adjusted the air/fuel mixture from one extreme to the other, torqued down the bolts on the manifold, ive even tried talking nicely to her and nothing works.i dont want to take the whole damn thing apart if its not the gasket on the manifold....please respond asap because this is my only sorce of transportation...she was running fine and all of a sudden this happens..if i red line it it will keep running with a frequent sputter....
> Before you tear into it, try this" WITH CAUTION PLEASE" take a small propane torch and open the valve slightly. Slowly pass it over the intake manifold gaskets etc. with the engine running. If you have a leak or crack the engine will increase in rpm (rev up). Just be careful using propane.
