thanks for the input...i replaced the gasket on the intake/exaust manifold..and soon after discovered my carb is where the vaccum leak was...i cleaned it so good that the seal at the base of it no longer sealed....im no real mechanic but this message board is the best thing that ever happened to me since i bought this mav...thanks for all the help over the last five months everyone...and im sure this wont be the last advice i need from yalll....thanks again
