: Loosen locknut on adjusting screw, turn screw in until it just stops. Then back it off 1 and 1/2 turns, hold it in that position and tighten the lock nut. Do same on the other band adjuster. Use a good Type F trans fluid, if you are having a problem with the transmission, let me know by e-mail. I have rebuilt dozens of C4's for street and racing.
