I didn't get the particulars on your mav but does it have points in the
distributor? And if so have you checked the gap? It could be that the points have moved and closed the gap
or they might have an arc in between them. If you have points and have not changed them in a year or so,
do yourself a favor change them and the condesor too..

: ive replaced all gaskets and lines,but mav still is acting up...it will run for a minute,sputter,jump a little and spray a burst of gas back up out of the carburator..then cut off...and in trying to restart it requires flooring it then it cuts of again...then it will turn over without giving it gas and repeat the process...there are no more vacuum leaks,and its getting gas..it just doesnt stay running....any more suggestions.....
