it'll take awhile to get the pics developed, but I'll take them and scan them as I can...
I'm doing the swap this weekend, the AOD is all but out(f'in thing is HEAVY) and my car is currently parked until I get my alternator rebuild kit, so's the swap is taking place now. The crossmember *looks* like its gonna be an easy modification, as in probably just drill new holes, but I haven't actually measured it yet, just eyeballed it.
: : He has a very detailed article. His link has changed and I can't remember it though.. Should be on this board somewhere, yes I am lazy :)
: :
: : : Seriously...please write a summary of the things you have to do to get this thing in.
: : : This board gets this question every couple months or so and I would like to know the particulars on this swap
: :
: : : : you'll need the input shaft from an AOD driveshaft tho. I'm doing the swap this week finally...
: : : : lemme know if you have any other questions.
: : : : : If I put an AOD trany in my 73 Mav with a 302 would I have to get a custom drive shaft or would the stock one fit it?
: : : : : Thanx
: If so...yeah. I finally got a cable modem, and am running my web site from home now. If recently made some changes, and added more nice little thumbnail pictures everywhere. The AOD is located on my Info Sites page. A submission from Dan Jones.
: What we need are some pictures!!!! With the two trannys side by side. Maybe some of the C4 still in the car, and some of the AOD in the car after the install. Pictures of the TV cable. Heck....someone take the pictures and send me the role. I'll be more than happy to get them developed and scanned in, then send them to all that want them. We need pictures!!!
