Brian; check the #1 cylinder on the compression stroke (upstroke). If you
put your finger in the plug hole and move the engine, you can feel the
compression build. Get it to top dead center, and stop the piston there.
Look at the distributor rotor button, and see if it points to the #1
plug tower location on the cap. This will get you in the ball park to set
the timing to the proper setting (6degrees before top dead center). Good
