We agree on some stuff, but I am confused as to why you like the 351C and not the 351W. The WIndsor is smaller and can easily make the power of a 351C with more low-end "grunt."-CP

: I have to say that the only good engines Ford has designed would be the clevelands, (super) cobra jets, and the cammer. Other than that, you're just looking at the base blocks (which ARE well designed to do what they're supposed to--to be long lasting) and assuming that people have thousands of dollars to buy re-designed parts.

: And what i MEANT about the 460 was that if ford had put the cylinder banks together, it would have weighed less and had less cross-torsional vibration (although, it probably would have lost a lot of top end stability, now that i think of it). Therefore, with the narrower cylinder banks, you COULD put a 460 into a mav, AND change the spark plugs.

: And if you EVER get a NASCAR engine, let me know.

: Oh, and that 18 1/2" measurement came from a shop i emailed about doing a 350 Chevy Swap into a RX-7 (i emailed and asked about the width).
