Easy to change. Be sure to buy a seal from Ford, not aftermarket. The Ford seal sticks out about 1/4" more and is far more durable, believe me, I've been there. Here's how to change it:
1. Drop driveshaft by removing u-bolts at rear u-joint, pulling driveshaft back and out of trans.
2. Use a hook or screwdriver to pull the seal out (Harder than it sounds, but?)
3. Tap the new seal in. /cp

: After reading a bit about the tranny slipping in another post, I decided to see what the problem is with mine. It is leaking from where the drive shaft goes into the tranny. Not too bad but when it gets low, I notice that the shifting sucks. It is a C4 auto. What is the fix? Can I do it myself or is this a shop fix.
