I'm in the process of installing the McCleod kit. I was having trouble with the mechanical setup and when I changed over to a Doug Nash trans, I had to go hydraulic.

The McCleod hydraulic throwout bearing replaces the input shaft bearing retainer on the trans. You need to know some dimensions before ordering the kit. The master cylinder (a Wilwood 3/4" cylinder) mounts on the fire wall. It's a bear to get under the dash and drill the mounting holes. You then need to either shim the master cylinder or drill a new hole in the clutch pedal to align the push rod for the master cylinder. I had to fabricate a connector to connect the push rod to the clutch pedal. It works great, but was A LOT of work to get it done.

My advice... Don't change over unless you have to, or a kit becomes available specifically for a Maverick.
