I have a borg warner T-10 in my 76 mav and i had
to trim the existing hole in the floor only slightly. Also
if you have a 3 spd manual trans in it already, the existing trans crossmember works too. Had to tap different holes in bellhousing to bolt the t-10 in.Dan

: 1) I've done the swap
: 2) It's a pain in the butt
: 3) You WILL have to cut your tunnel (alot)
: 4) If I did it over, I'd go Borq Warner T-10.

: E-mail me with any questions if you go ahead with the toploader swap, but the T-10 is much easier fit, ive heard. -CP

: : After riding in my friend's 1998 Z28 SS, i've decided a couple of things:

: : 1) My maverick will NEVER be that awesome.

: : 2) I'm going manual. Three speeds just won't cut it, and i've got some money now so i'd like to get a 4speed toploader.

: : I'm sure that there are a lot of people who've done the swap...are there ANY problems? I would like to put a 351W, MAYBE a 302 on it.

: : So, basically just looking for any tips, i have a 69.5 so my tranny tunnel ISN'T like the later years (that was my main concern).
