Clean them up youself. I did. It's not hard, just remember bigger isn't better. Just make the ports as smooth as possible, taking as little material out as you can. Also, taking material off the top is better than the bottom of the port. Make sure you have an intake gasket set so you can match the port to the gasket. Exhaust headers come in round and square styles, port your exhaust ports to match. A die grinder works well. I've seen many tech articles on it, so look through Hot Rod / Car Craft to see what you can find.
Extrude Honing works better on Aluminum, I think. I've never heard od Extrude-honing a cylinder head. Heads are too easy to access, extrude honing is mostly for items you simply can't get inside of. -CP

: I'm looking for all information pertaining to head porting. I've looked in to Extrude Honing, but haven't called to check the pricing. I have a second set of 289 heads with chevy 194's and 160's. Anyone have suggestions/website for porting kits? Just need to clean them up.
