:you can double the gaskets, it just gives two gaskets that can leak. tried that one too. remember, when they say "bolt on" that's always a give away that it's got some "modifications" required. there is several problems with stock rocker arms, ratio is off, weak for stronger springs, and stud slots aren't big enough for a higher lift cam.
Moroso makes a good valve cover that fits very nicely, looks good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
I didn't think this was gonna be such a bear to achieve.

: : :Summit has a set called Proform, it's a generic name for Crane rockers, use a good lock down nut such as ARP makes. standard locknuts don't work. You might have to also use a thicker valve cover gasket, rollers can cause clearence problems

: : I currently have stock rockers, and would like suggestions on some good rollers and anything else that I'd need to do the swap. I don't have screw-ins, or guide plates. These 289 heads have slotted push rod holes, and therefore don't need guide plates. Help would be very much appreciated!
