: : look for a serious vacuum leak.
Pretty sure no leaks
Also, is the fuel old. could be bad gas.
car was just filled from empty to the top with fresh 93 octane
finally, did you check how well the pump is working while cranking the motor? unhook the
fuel line from the carb place it in a jar or can and crank away to see if it is pumping.
I did this and it worked fine
last, maybe one of the things you fixed isn't really fixed!
Possibly
: : I've been trying to get my '73 maverick running right. I have a starting problem. The car will fire, run for a couple seconds and then just die. I rebuilt the head and cheked all valves etc., swapped carbs, checked fuel flow from the tank all the way to the carb, replaced the fuel pump checked spark, replaced plug wires, replaced plugs checked point gap changed coil. and the damn thing still wont run.
: : HELP!!!
