: :along with that rig yourself up a 10 gauge jumper wire with alligator clips, (you can use
them later for other things), and jump from the positive side of the battery to the positive
side of the coil. That's how easy it is to steal the old cars without ignition and trans lockup.
: That will bypass the ignition switch, it may be over heating and shuting off until it cools
back down,
: Also make sure you have the negative side of the coil to the distributer and the positive
is your power supply side, And change the condensor in the distribor. and if all that don't
work post the info and we'll give you some more. Still have a few tricks left.

---I'll try to jump the ignition switch and see what happens. I also plan on replacing the
condensor too. Maybe I'll just dump the whole points type system and install the electronic
system from my '77 parts car. How easy is this? It looks like there are a lot of wires to
trace back and splice into.

: : I've been trying to get my '73 maverick running right. I have a starting problem. The car will fire, run for a couple seconds and then just die. I rebuilt the head and cheked all valves etc., swapped carbs, checked fuel flow from the tank all the way to the carb, replaced the fuel pump checked spark, replaced plug wires, replaced plugs checked point gap changed coil. and the damn thing still wont run.

: : HELP!!!
