On a '73 for example, Only drums from a '73 Maverick/Comet/Mustang will work. And then they wanna know if it's an "early" or "late" '73...Pain in the ass...Now I don't know about '74. : ...Drums should be the same for any mid-size/compact Ford that came came with the 10" ones. Don't go for full-size - they have a different bolt pattern. The thing to check is surface width should be the same as your original drums. As for springs, there have been many debates(LOL). Some folks say the only way to go is with new. I had mine re-arched at a good spring shop for way less than the cost of new; and they are still good many years after;-)
