I fabricated a lowering bracket to work with Hedman headers on a 302 in a 70' Mav.
Hedmans bracket did not move the cylinder far enough away from the headers. I have a picture of this bracket if anyone would like to see it to get an idea of what needs to be done.Although there are other methods of doing it I'm sure. I can email ya - i don't know how to post a pic on this message.
