: For those of you with original V8 mavs or comets!! I purchased a complete V8 comet for parts. I noticed that the passenger side exhuast manifold is designed very differently when compared to the drivers side. THe drivers side is clearly a better flowing manifold. Is this the factory set up or has the passenger side been replaced. The car was original and didn't appear to be modified at all. Thanks for the help. Sorry to post again, it is a 1974

My 73 has a different manifold on the drivers side than the passenger side as well. My 68 Mustang has the same type manifolds on both sides, so I was too wondering the same.

My Maverick has a standard "log" type that is similiar to the Mustang(but the Maverick has more ribbing to prevent cracks) and that is on the passenger side. The driver side has the exhaust exiting downwards instead. Let me know if yours is this way too.
