when I swapped my 600 and Performer 289 intake on there, I tried different locations for the PCV vacuum, when I tried to plug it in like you described, it ran poorly, it runs lean, if I don't have the PCV on the carb to spread the air/oil mixture over all 8, it won't run worth a damn.

In order to clear the roller rockers, I had to cut out the baffles in the valve covers. So that PCV valve is sucking oil, all of which is going in to the intake valve on the number 8 cylinder. Explains why I am fouling plugs out in 30 miles on that car...:
: Yesterday I picked up a Holley 750 carb, list 3310-2. It has a base plate with the pcv hose fitting on it. It SHOULD fit my 780, list
: 3310-1 so I should be able swap plates.
