Ethonol

I've been reading about Ethonol as a alternative fuel but I have heard lots of mixed reviews about it, Do any of you know about it? What modifications would it take to run it in a engine? What are the pro's and cons of it? From what I have read it runs cooler with higher octane and cleaner. Alot of other page's say it sucks and that is all they will say about it. I use Gasohol sometimes (10% Ethonol) and it seems to run fine. I am looking for facts not 'It sucks, period'
