The engine is actually VERY durable--but the design of the intake and exhaust leaves something to be desired. For one, a cast-on intake makes it difficult (not impossible, but difficult) to upgrade to anything else--and stock, that's a LONG way for the gas to go to get to the end cylinders. The exhaust manifold....well, pretty bad design too, but that's easily changeable, unlike the intake.
You must be running some pretty nice mods to get it in the 15 sec. range!
