I recently swapped in a v-8 and if I remember correctly the elongated slots in the cross member should be positioned closest to the front of the car. The tranny mount should then be installed to line up with the holes. Sorry, but I ddin't have to remove the rubber mount so I can't be more specific.
: Below I posted a question about which way the trans mount is supposed to face.If its not too much trouble could someone answer it??
