That sounds about right...My 302 with a 4-barrel carb and 3.55:1 gears gets 17 on the highway...those "sixes" really DON'T get good gas mileage...it's a myth...They have to work twice as hard and your foot is to the floor more often just to get it going & keep up...The more modern fuel-injected six cylinders get MUCH better fuel ecconomy...
: I have a 200 and i get about 15-17mpg. Of course, mine's not in the greatest shape, but i wouldn't expect much more. If you want the engine to last, you have to run it kinda rich--the center cylinders will be rich (near the carb), but if you don't run it rich then the outer cylinders will suffer. The i6's in the mavericks are a kinda crappy design.
