Being the curious person that i am, i took my c4 apart and rebuilt it. I was 18 at the time, and only had a generic Chiltons to help with re-assembly. It's really not as hard as you might think.
Manual transmissions, on the other hand, i would NEVER touch (too many small parts that have to be PERFECTLY in place).
