dont do it! you can get greater compression, but you will sacrifice a lot. the 170 valves are smaller. also i think that there is a difference in the size of the carburetor hole. you can up your compression, but you wont be able to breathe as well. if you are interested in hopping up your 200, send me a personal email. i can hook up you up with dennis schjendahl who is a ford inline 6/performance guru. also, ill get you a link to the inliners club. those should give you all the answers you need to make the most of your 6. it will also help you know what 6 cylinder engine parts are interchangeable, and what years are best.

: I read an article at www.maverickgrabber.com about puting 170 parts in a 200 and it would up the compression. There is a 170 sitting in the boneyard here and I was wondering if maybe I should think about doing this? http://www.geocities.com/cping3/hrjan2.jpg
