Ebay Question??

There is someone on Ebay who is supposedly selling a gas cap that came from a 1973 Maverick. I looked at it and it appeared to me to be from a Cadillac. It has the classic Caddy aligator on the top and does not appear to be anything related to Ford. I emailed the seller to let him know that this was probably not from a Maverick or a Mustang (part of his description) to be nice as to help him avoid problems with someone not knowing better and not getting a true mav part. He wrote me back and was very snotty and assured me that it was a Ford maverick gas cap and that I was stupid and obviously did not know what I was talking about. Could you guys and girls take a look and give me your opinion? The Ebay Item # 574988806. Thanks so much.
