Springs very widely from car to car. 1971 Springs will definitely NOT fit a 1965 Mustang. Often in magazines, etc they will list 1965-1973 because the prices are the same, not because the application is. 1971 Mustangs are much heavier in the front. I doubt that you would see proper ride height with Mustang springs, and you'd be guessing. 428CJ springs would be different than I6 springs, do you concede that? If you have done it personally then please let me know how it worked out but if not I'd be very wary of giving that advice. -CP
: Usually 71-73. C=Sometimes spring mfg's list one spring for 65-73, so there isn't much difference.

: : : Shannon, Mustang springs will interchange in the front if you want performance springs. If you want stock 302 springs, any parts store should be able to come up with some.
