I avoid this problem all together. Had the paint job for almost a year and havn't been hit by a door yet. It's easy, I don't park it in parking lots. In fact I hardly ever drive it, I'm afraid. Every time i rive it it sems like people are trying to hit me. Last time I drove it to get my nos tank and go to the track I had to avoid 2 accidents in the first 5 miles. The only time my Maverick sits in a parkng lot is during car shows
