My solution was to watch where I park (try new to park next to BMW's or Mercedes Bentz) as they usually park diagionally between two spaces. I also went to one of my local auto supply houses and purchased some door edge molding that seems to help. My Maverick has factory side molding which also protects the doors etc. Just be prepared to face a lifetime of dings and such...Good Luck !!!!
