Novak,yes the 347 is based on 302.
Why not consider purchasing the kit from a U.S. supplier if you have the block,or purchasing a complete short block or whole engine, then everythings taken care of.
Other guys will give their opinions so its a matter of how you can accomplish what you want.
Sounds like your going about the construction of a nice machine.
