Yes, use a long, flat screwdriver. The largest one you can find. Start at the door latch side and work your way to the hinge side. Place the screwdriver directly behind the clip and pry there. On one side of the screwdriver will be the door, on the otherside the cardboard....but directly behind the cardboard should be the clip. I fine this works very well.

: Use the longest flathead screwdriver you can find and it should be much easier with no tearing, just take your time. If that fails try a spatchula ?spelling?
