There is kits and headers available for this swap. The FEs only weight 620# as the 385s are 725#, a 302 is 480# so the FE is a more, workable weight wise engine. And with a alunumuim intake you loose about 60#.
: Hi I,m kind of new to the maverick scene. I have just came across a 1970 2dr and wanting to build it up as a drag car. What I have is a 1970 FE engine that is going to be pushing around 500hp. I'm also installing a fiberglass front end on the car. Looking for advise on stuffing th FE engine in the car. Maybe links to go to for info and parts. Thanks
