I just finished browsing the archives and as I was afraid of there has been only one solution - doing away with the power steering when installing headers. I put Hedman Headers in my 70' Maverick -302 V8.
Hedman offers a lowering bracket for the PS cylinder, but it still is not sufficient clearance. I was going to attempt to fabricate my own bracket wich would move the cylinder about an inch lower than the Hedman bracket and forward toward the PS valve(toward front of car)
By moving that cylinder on such a different angle would that effect steering ? Or is there a bracket on the market that actually does the job? Anyone been thru this ?? Also-the rubber bushing that goes on that bracket, are they available new anywhere?? Thanks for any help !!
