Sounds like the turn signal switch :(
I had mine go bad and was able to keep it working by cleaning it up and re-riveting it. They are obsolete. Check power out of the signal switch to know for sure, but its almost a positive diagnosis. -CP
: ok well I changed the brake switch and now one brake light is working. but the other one isn't and isn't getting power to it at all. when I turn on the lights... the turn arrow for the non working light is staying lit up. and that side stays brighter in the front. when I switch the signal to turn on the the turn signal it doesn't flash on the non working brake light side. but the other side does. would this be some sorta short or just a turn signal switch? the all blink just fine with the emergency flashers. but one side doesn't flash for the turn signal or light up with the brake light. thanks for all the input so far... I hope you have some more:-D
