sorry to tell you this but...
a bone stock 73 maverick would have his lunch taken by an 80's 5.0.
i am presuming you are talking about a GT model, mustang.
but dont let that discourage you. the maverick was never actually manufactured for performance. (it just needs a little re-engineering)
the physics go... light weight body + V8 built for performance = mustang 5.0 slayer.
i read a hot rod magazine road test of the 1st V8 maverick. they came up with 0-60 in 10 seconds, and a 17.0 1/4 mile et.
i know my old 73 was waaaay faster than that. but i did have to add some goodies to get her into the 15's.
