:you'd turning in the correct way. They're just very toght and age and heat helps it stick.

Hi -- I was advised by one helpful person on this board to tighten down an adjustment screw on my power steering unit to try and get rid of some steering play (sloppiness). In order to tighten this screw apparently you have to back off the surrounding nut. I've been trying like hell to get that thing unstuck and after a blast of penetrating oil and cranking at it counter cockwise with my socket wrench I am wondering if this isnt threaded clockwise to loosen it. I don't have a Chiltons/Haynes manual so I cant really be sure. Anyone know offhand? I dont want to strip the threads. Thanks in advance.
