I almost hate to suggest this, but I do have an extra Hurst shifter that was in my Comet when it got burned up in a fire. The shifter is undamaged. I had thought about putting it in my new Maverick, but the stock floorshifter it has in it is reasonably nice, and although I do like the Hurst a little better, I've got a feeling I'm not going to be able to motivate myself to do the swap. It is a Hurst V-matic II with a Ratchet shifter option, and the bottom is already sculpted to fit in a Maverick (obviously). I believe it cost me $200 and some odd change when I bought it, so say... $120? I will also be willing to guarantee that it will work with your car and will give you your money back if you aren't satisfied. The linkage is setup for a C4 Tranny, which is what you should have. Any takers?

: Hey guyz, right now my maverick has the auto on the column but i really would like to switch it over to an automatic on the floor. Yeah, i know a stick would be nicer, but that sounds like to much work. So my questions are: how hard is it to do this swap (auto from column to floor)??? and what abut the stock transmission in my maverick? i'm not sure what the stock mav tranny is, but do i need to upgrade it possibly??? thanks guyz.
: Jason
