i ultimately have plans to beef up my 72 V8. i know 1sthand, just how difficult spark plug access can be.
would the addition of headers complicate an already difficult situation?
also, the car has power steering. (too much hassle to just remove)
ive seen other ps equipped mavericks with headers, and they had to install a bracket to lower the ps. even still there were problems.
they had to bang and bend the headers to fit, and it wasnt pretty.
also, there seemed to be some kind of binding upon hard cornering, due to the relocation of powersteering pump.
is this just with certain brands of headers? is there a known brand that fits mavericks properly?
finally, if i elected to not use headers, is there an alternate exhaust manifold that flows better than the stock ones?
i was wondering if a 351 windsor exhaust would bolt up, and if it would be of any advantage. also, any other 289/302 exhaust that might be better.
