To get started you'll need extensive tools, extensive knowledge of fabrication, and a whole lot of time.
The way you'd do it would be to find a 4WD frame that has about the same wheelbase as the maverick, take the truck body off of it, gut the Maverick until you can bolt it to the frame using any means possible.
Personally, I don't think it'd be worth the trouble at all, but I wouldn't want to do it in the first place. Good luck. -CP
: i would like to convert my '77 Maverick to a slightly jacked up 4WD. i guess you could say it would be an SUV. but i have no idea how to get started. if anyone could give me any insight it would be very helpful.
