.....Back when I was heavly into 4 wheeling, I thought of doing the same thing. Came real close too. The full sized Bronco from 78 to about 85 have pretty much the same wheelbase as the Maverick, around 103" The width is another matter. with 33X12.5 the wheel width is easly a foot wider. Still its doable if you have the desire. All you have to do is mount the entire Maverick unibody on the Bronco frame & hook everything up. Its probably easier than you would think. I gave up the idea cause cause around here Bronco's go for too much to cut up, plus all the friends I used to go with, stopped going. So I stopped too. Only down fall is the body would be high & if you have bumper height laws in your state, you'd be hard pressed to meet them.


: i would like to convert my '77 Maverick to a slightly jacked up 4WD. i guess you could say it would be an SUV. but i have no idea how to get started. if anyone could give me any insight it would be very helpful.
