Is it a maverick?

I got this in an email....

PLease assist my sister and I with a family puzzle. A car puzzle.

Around 1970 or 71' we drove our "little green" car to Florida on spring
break for college.

My sister and I think it was a maverick, first I thought it was a pinto.

Anyway, it was a bright green color. The little green car also had
distinctive black and white plaid cloth seats. That part I remember very
well.

Looking over your photos I did not see any bright green cars, it was more
bright green than dark.

Any help will put our minds at rest. We can't figure this out...

By the way on our road trip my sister was the main driver. I developed sun
poison and for safety sake flew home. My sis really wants to know about the
name of this car...was it a little Maverick?
