Get a minimum of 5 hp 240 volt & 60 gallon tank. I prefer the upright because they take up less space. 2 stage compressors are a waste of money for the hobbiest. Sanders consume alot of air. A sand blaster (bucket or cabinet) will pretty much run your compressor continuously so give it some rest periods while using one. Also I would strongly suggest mounting it out in a shed rather than in your garage. They are very noisey & will make you deaf listing to them run all the time. You can run air lines with 1" pvc. The stuff is rated at 600psi & is a piece of cake to install. I've had mine set up like this for over 7 years with no problems. I cant even hear mine run. Good Luck
