the 5 speed that they put in the broncos and rangers will bolt up to a 302 block so a 302 is not completely out of the question....although it would be a pain in the ass to do and the mav will be worth more in the long run....
: I've had several friends with Bronco II's... engines all went kaput with oiling and/or cooling problems. Maybe since it needs a motor anyhow, buy it and swap in a 351 (only halfway joking) .... otherwise, stick with the Maverick.
