I do recommend Heddman Headers. But I'm sure Flowtech and Hooker are good also. Once you have them in they are a great fit. Just remember to buy the slave cylinder drop bracket. A couple of other things to remember:

1. Get as much out of the way as you can. (disconnect the slave cyl., remove the hood and the shock tower braces for more room)

2. If you are installing a new engine, Ryan hit the nail on the head, put the headers in the engine compartment first and wire them in place. I basically pulled my engine back out to drop the drivers side header in and wire it in place. I was under the car and had a friend (whom I have a great deal of trust in) lower the engine slowly to guide everything.

3. The passenger side is easy.

4. Be patient!!! Walk away when you get frustrated. More than once I was ready to blow the car up.

As far as modifications go, didn't need any. No beating of the primary tubes or anything like that. If you have power steering that drop bracket is an absolute MUST if you want headers.

: i have read this whole thread on "headers in mavericks". that is the ones with power steering. i must admit it is discouraging.
: what i would like, is a ringing endorsement for a header manufacture, and installation method.

: can anyone recommend a header (including part number) that fits without modification?

: thanks
