: I have a 1971 302 non grabber maverick with A/C, Power steering, bucket seats and floor shifted auto. Does anyone know how many were made this way? I feel it is pretty rare, but my wife thinks it is a $250 piece of s**t. I would really like to let her know that the fair market value for this car is more than what I paid. I would love if it was a lot more. The body is straight, the interior is so-so and it has drum brakes all around. I see the potential, but, no-one else sees it like I do. Is there anybody out there in Maverick land who can help me out?
: Thanks

I agree with the rest, floor shifter in Mav. would be a rare item from factory. Don't let your wife talk you out of keeping it. Look around the web for Maverick owners pages and "see" the real potenial of a Mav. Some real beauties out there. I would take what I bought mine for, and I bought it new in '72. Hang tough and keep another Mav. on the road.
Jerry
